Where to start
Name the deliverable, how many revision rounds are included, and how a new task is opened. IP in code or design should pass after payment of that stage, not “someday”. Open-source components and portfolio use need their own sentence.
What to check
A foreign client usually wants English and their own law. That is an international contract, not a one-page Ukrainian services form. A civil contract is also not a substitute for employment if the person works on your schedule with your equipment.

Freelance, a civil contractor and employment are different contracts
A freelance or civil-law contractor agreement buys a result: a text, a layout, a module, a campaign. An employment contract buys a process under a schedule, with subordination and statutory protections. If the “freelance” deal has a daily stand-up, fixed hours, leave, a corporate mailbox as the only workplace and a ban on other clients, the paper already looks like disguised employment. That is a risk for the client and for the person who thought they were a contractor and then cannot protect either the fee or the copyright.
A workable IT or freelance contract has a task, an acceptance test, a number of revision rounds, and a clear rule on who owns the code or design after payment and what may stay in a portfolio. Payment is tied to a milestone, not to “the end of the project whenever the client says”. If the contractor is abroad, write the currency, bank charges, the language and the governing law. English drafting starts from UAH 3,000, a bilingual text from UAH 3,500. A Ukrainian contractor or IT agreement usually starts from UAH 2,500–3,000 depending on whether a code licence and an NDA sit in the same pack.

- Customer data is covered on purpose.
- There is no shift rota if this is truly not employment.
